Driftwood is an artist from Detroit, Michigan who now lives and works in his studio in the Fashion District of Los Angeles, California.

Having received a bachelor's degree in anthropology from Eastern Michigan University in 2014, academic studies have greatly impacted his body of work. Inspired most by the ancient forms of art displayed on cave walls throughout our collective human history, Driftwood has researched and adopted many ancient and traditional methods of painting in order to recreate these magnificent works of art- some as old as 40,000 years.

His recreations are an attempt to encourage the viewer to connect on a personal level with the pioneers of art from our collective histories. These artists are reaching out from 40,000 years ago through Driftwood, and he shares that feeling with you through his creations.
